International Relations and Affairs:
I would recommend an International Relations major to anyone who is passionate about international relations and would like to work in the fields of law, government, or politics. You should also want to live in a larger city or overseas. I very much enjoyed studying international relations, however after I graduated and my husband was stationed in a smaller town (with the military) I realized that it was not a marketable major outside the areas I mentioned. Pros: exciting, dynamic, interesting. Cons: Constrains where you can live while still being able to work in your field. |

International Relations and Affairs:
This major covers a variety of subjects, including political science, history, sociology, economics, and whatever language you choose. It's versatile in that, if you desire, you can choose to concentrate your studies on a particular country, region, time period, or subject matter pertaining to the world. Job-wise, it is flexible in that you can pursue graduate studies, become a lawyer, go into business or finance, or get into just about any other field you want, given the globalization of our world today. |

International Relations and Affairs:
I would definitely recommend this major. You are required to study abroad- which is an experience every college student should have. You learn about other cultures and languages. I would definitely do it again if I had the chance. I absolutely love my major. Some of the pros are that you become versatile. Since you learn about other cultures and languages then you have the option to stay in the United States or live abroad. Some of the cons of this major is that it takes time to learn other languages. You don't become fluent in other languages over night, but in my opinion the time it takes is worth it! |
