I have chosen the Animation field because i am very much interested in painting and Animated movies.I think animation is one of the good booming industry and if we have creative ideas and talent we can build up a great career in our life.
At my last job, I worked as a 3D modeler and animator. Now I am working as a freelancer. This field can be a lot of fun. It can be creative and artistic. However, it also has it's share of problems. There are far more people than there are jobs. Schools are not making this any better when they show commercials about how you "could be designing video games." The reality is you will probably graduate jobless and struggle to "break into the industry." If you live anywhere other than California, you will struggle even more. The talent out there is astounding and school will not get you nearly prepared enough. It can be a rewarding career, but it will require a lot of blood, sweat, and tears on your part, and possibly some innate artistic talent as well.
I would recommend this career to anyone who is already very talented and artistic, to people who don't mind working long hours, and to people who are not afraid of jumping from job to job when projects end.
If I had to do it over, I'm not sure if I would go into this career. Art and 3D were always hobbies of mine, but once it becomes your job, some of the fun wears off. I sometimes wonder if I would have been happier doing something else and keeping 3D as a hobby instead of a job.
I love what I do. If you are creative yet analytical this is the perfect career. It offers you an opportunity to work in a creative world with technical execution. If I had to do it over again - I would absolutely choose this career.
